How Our Scones Ship Nationwide and Arrive Fresh at Your Door
July 8, 2026 · 3 min read

Well hey there, y'all. If you've ever left Savannah with a box of our scones on your lap and a little heartache in your chest, this post is for you. Not everyone can make it down to see us, and bless your heart, we think that's a real shame. But we found the next best thing. We partner with Goldbelly to ship our handmade scones anywhere in the country, guaranteed to arrive fresh. So pull up a chair, sugar, and let us walk you through how it works, what shows up at your door, and how to serve them so they taste like they just came out of our oven.
How nationwide scone shipping works
It's simple as Sunday morning. You place your order through our page on Goldbelly, the nationwide marketplace for America's best food makers. We bake your scones by hand at our Midtown Bakeshop, same as we bake everything, with real butter, real cream, and not a shortcut in sight. Then they're packed up with care and shipped straight to your door, anywhere in the US. Goldbelly guarantees they arrive fresh.
That's the whole story. No warehouse, no freezer aisle, no funny business. Scones from our kitchen to your table, with a little Savannah sunshine tucked in the box.
What arrives at your door
Your scones arrive ready to enjoy. Open the box, pour yourself something warm, and dig right in, honey.
Now, if you're not planning to eat them all at once (we won't judge, but we are a touch impressed by your willpower), here's how to keep them at their best:
- Refrigerator: up to 7 days
- Freezer: up to 3 months
How to serve shipped scones
This is what folks ask us about most, so here it is, plain as grits. To serve scones that have been shipped or stored:
- If frozen, let them thaw in the refrigerator for about 6 hours. Overnight while you sleep works just beautifully.
- Set them out 30 minutes to an hour before serving so they come up to room temperature. Good things are worth the wait.
- Want them warm? A toaster oven for 2 to 3 minutes, an air fryer for 1 minute, or a microwave for 20 seconds brings back that fresh-from-the-oven feeling.
Pour a good cup of coffee alongside and you've got yourself a proper Savannah morning, no matter what your porch looks out on. And if you want to get that pairing just right, we wrote y'all a whole guide to pairing coffee and scones.
Which flavors ship
The Goldbelly lineup rotates, same as our bakery case, but you'll find beloved favorites like our Cinnamon Roll scones, Traditional Royal scones (the ones just made for clotted cream and jam), Banana Toffee, Nutella, Celebration Cake, and a gluten-free Cinnamon Crunch. Peek at our Goldbelly page to see what's shipping right now, and see what's baking here in Savannah this week on our menu.
Scones make a mighty fine gift
Sugar, there is hardly a soul alive who wouldn't smile at a box of handmade Savannah scones on the doorstep. They travel beautifully as a birthday surprise, a thank-you, a care package for someone far from home, or a taste of Savannah for that friend who visited once and hasn't hushed about it since. Goldbelly handles gift orders too, so you can send a little Southern charm without ever leaving your couch.
And if you ever find yourself in Savannah
Well then, come on in and see us proper. Our Midtown Bakeshop at 713 E 65th Street is where every scone is baked by hand each morning, and our Downtown Coffee Shop & Scone Shop at 31 W Congress Street puts fresh scones and good coffee right in the heart of the historic district. Fair warning, darlin': when they're gone, they're gone.
Until then, bless your heart, you're only a shipping label away from a scone.
